Newly-released video footage shows former president John F. Kennedy vacationing with his family in 1963, four months before his assassination.
Jacqueline Kennedy and the couple’s children, Caroline and John Jr., make appearances in the silent film. The family is seen boating, swimming and playing golf near Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.
The footage, released by the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, was recorded 50 years ago this week.
Sadly, JFK’s reign as president ended abruptly on November 22, 1963, when he was assassinated by an alleged conspiracy involving shooter Lee Harvey Oswald.
